My Vision

I was born and raised in Goldsboro, and have lived nearly 30 years here. My vision is of a city that harnesses the momentum of the growing region around us, while acknowledging the importance of our own city and our own people. I believe we must take a fresh approach to citizen services and quality of life issues to put Goldsboro in a place of prominence as we look to the future of our city. I’ve seen how this city has tasted success, and also failure. I've watched as some parts of town have

thrived while others have faced serious decline. As leaders of this city, we must get creative, and profoundly serious, about attracting responsible development that compliments the diversity of our neighborhoods at every price point. We have to rebuild those parts of our city that have essentially been leveled, and we have to assess every element of our own bureaucracy to make sure we are not being part of the problem. I look forward to continuing this work as your mayor!
