On Sunday, June 4, Councilman Charles Gaylor and the Gaylor for Goldsboro Committee hosted a Family Fun Day at Herman Park. The Committee offered free train rides to all who attended, as well as free ice pops. The Kiwanis Miniature Train had a record day, with roughly 1,000 free rides enjoyed.
"Herman Park and the Kiwanis Train both hold a special place in my heart," said Gaylor. "Four generations of Gaylors have ridden here, and I'm thrilled to see how the community recently came together to support the new train and pavilion. We live just a couple of blocks away and visit Herman Park often, so it felt like a great way to give back to the community and share our love of the park with others!"
